Body image

Body image is complex in bodybuilding and fitness, often shaped by societal ideals. It's vital to realize that social media presents curated snapshots. Lack of context, varied conditions, and potential external factors make comparisons unrealistic.

If you ever look at yourself in the mirror and the feeling of satisfaction is not there, then the real question is ''Do you do your very best to reach your goal?''

If you DO, then realize that the only thing holding you back is time; be patient and keep going!

Now, if you are unsatisfied with how you look, the solution is not to hate yourself but to find the reasons why you don't look the way you want. There is always a way to get closer to what you perceive as perfect. It's challenging for a person to know they won't look ''perfect,'' but one day, you could become the person everybody looks up to.

One of the best ways to make yourself feel better is to track your progress. This allows you to see how far you have come in your journey.

Nowadays, most people in the fitness community look up to enhanced bodybuilders, which destroys body image. These bodybuilders/influencers often have freaky genetics and risk their long-term health by doing PEDs. Their job is to look impressive in front of their audience, so they will take things to the extreme. Unless you have clear goals about doing bodybuilding, steroids are not the solution to feeling satisfied with your body.

So, the takeaway is that you should not base your body image on people from social media because it won't help. Work towards your goals, and you will see what's possible for you. Focus only on your journey and not others.
