Dumbbell curls

The dumbbell curls exercise targets the short head of the bicep in the mid-shortened position.

 

The stability could be better, but it is controllable if you don’t ego lift. Stability can be problematic if you are very strong and can use a lot of weight, and sitting on a bench is a way to get better stability.

 

It has just as much fatigue as other bicep movements and is relatively low.

 

Dumbbell curls are very effective for building the bicep muscle.

 

Dumbbell curls are accessible since you only need dumbbells, and many similar alternatives can provide the same results.

 

Alternatives:

  •  Cable curl
  • preacher curl
  • Spider curl

All of these alternatives are just as good and are effective.
